Is this the right coach for me?

I've often said that the second hardest A-level is Mathematics.

What's the first? Well, Further-Mathematics!

A-level Maths and Further Maths took a lot of getting used to; I was doing an extra eight ours a week with the homework to keep myself aiming for those A*s!
Having taught A-level Maths & Further Maths for the last three years, tutoring it for a lot longer, I'm here for you!

I have taught all elements of Pure Maths, Further Pure, Statistics, Mechanics and Discrete (or Decision Maths) on the Edexcel course.
Are there any major differences between the specifications? No, not really!
That said, the fine detail comes down to tackling those exam papers which, by the end of your course, we will look at in detail.
During our sessions, I will either reinforce your understanding or take you way beyond any of the exam-style questions making those A* questions a walk in the park!

It might be that you're a few weeks into the course wondering how you will cope, or part way through and wondering if you would feel better with some external support.
That's one of many reasons the first lesson is completely free.

In our first lesson, we spend some time getting to know each other.
While I try and figure out the perfect syllabus for you, you decide if I am the coach you need.

Each session is £40ph, except it isn't just the hour.

What am I getting for my money?

  • Quality teaching
  • Coaching
  • Out of hours support
  • Ongoing planning around your learning.

Yes, you get the lessons and support.
That's exactly the part of the job that I love!

Out of hours support mean that I'm only ever a text or an email away if you need a little help with homework or need something clarifying.

Yes, I will take my own time off and no, you will NEVER catch me responding to another client's message during our meetings.

But I will do my utmost to respond to you as soon as I can.

That said, if you're thinking that £40 is still a little steep, BUT you know two or more other people also needing a tutor, have a look at my group page.

How flexible are sessions?

As flexible as you need! If you want one or two lessons over the holidays to keep you ticking over, that's great.

If you'd rather commit to a series of lessons, all I need to do is put them in the diary.

If you need to cancel, let me know 24 hours in advance and all is well.
